Solved Creating a timelapse from GoPro photos

I'm using Vegas Pro 18.
I recently took ~2500 photos of a construction project over the course of 3 days with my GoPro.  I'm trying to create a very short TimeLapse/Hyperlapse but can't figure out how to get it down to like a 10 min video.  I've tried holding the CNTR key to where the little squigly line shows up and dragging it but there seems to be a limit as to how short I can make the video. I seem to recall there is another method as to how this can be better accomplished but can't seem to locate that info.  Isn't there an easier way?

Hi MrGrunthunter

I have an old tutorial which should still work in any version of VEGAS Pro.
The original tutorial was made with VEGAS Movie Studio Platinum, but will work in VEGAS Pro.

Setting the Frame Rate is the first thing that will have a major impact on the length of the video that gets created.
If you set to 50 or 60 frames per second, that will last half the amount of time of a 25fps or 30fps video.

Examples
If set to 25 fps (frames per second)
2500 images / 25 = 100 seconds
That's only 1 minute 40 seconds

If set to 30 fps (frames per second)
2500 images / 30 = 83.33 seconds
That's only 1 minute 23 seconds

If set to 60 fps (frames per second)
2500 images / 60 = 41.66 seconds
That's only 41 seconds

Thanks Derek. That was what I was looking for. I had to compress, render and compress several times to get what I wanted.
