Hi guys, just taken advantage of the reduced cost offer and purchased version 17. So currently have versions 12 and 13 installed with old projects held in separate 12 and 13 folders saved on a single pc. Now I probably could uninstall version 12 as I don't envisage using it again. However  I do have a couple of on going version 13 projects to finish so before I jump in and install version 17. I would welcome any tips/advice/don't do's on running versions 13 and 17 on one pc.
Finally, my apologises as I may have posted a similar question when I upgraded from 12 to 13 but I can't find any safed response probably lost when I changed pcs last year.
Cheers, Steve.

Hi Steve

It's perfectly OK to have v13 and v17 installed on the same computer.
I have 5x versions of Vegas Movie Studio Platinum all installed on the same machine and working OK.

There is only one thing to be aware of...
If you own any 3rd Video FX or Transitions, that came with older versions of Vegas Movie Studio, they will most likely not work in version 17.
When version 16 was released, a major coding update was made to the program, which means that all 3rd party FX now work differently in Vegas.
You will need to installer the newer versions of 3rd party FX, if you want them to work in Vegas.

Regards
Derek
